Meandering for 35 miles along the North Carolina/Virginia border with over 350 miles of shoreline, Lake Gaston is within a short drive of Richmond, Tidewater, Raleigh, and Durham. Located between Kerr Dam and Gaston Dam, the lake is tended very carefully, so the water quality is excellent, and it is regularly stocked with fish.

Lake Gaston is vast, so it is also helpful to identify which towns suit you best. Some of the larger towns in the area include: Roanoke Rapids, Weldon, Littleton, Warrenton & Norlina in North Carolina, and Boydton, South Hill, Bracey, Gasburg, Lawrenceville & Emporia in Virginia.
